The Consensus Assessments Initiative Questionnaire (CAIQ) is a standardized tool created by the Cloud Security Alliance. It gives organizations a set of questions covering security controls and compliance requirements, so you can assess a cloud service provider's posture without building your own assessment framework.

Use our CAIQ when your vendor-review process uses the Cloud Security Alliance's Cloud Controls Matrix, requests a standardized cloud-provider questionnaire, or needs detailed control responses to support an assessment. Compare the responses with your requirements and obtain supporting evidence where your review needs independent corroboration.

Assessment and Evidence

Files.com completes the CAIQ v4 as part of our participation in the Cloud Security Alliance's STAR Level 1 self-assessment program. The completed questionnaire documents our security controls and data protection measures, and supports your vendor assessment, compliance, and due diligence processes. The completed CAIQ is available through the Trust Center under NDA.

STAR Level 1 is a self-assessment, distinct from independent certification or attestation. Use the completed questionnaire alongside the evidence appropriate to your review.
