Channels

A Channel is a named grouping of subscriptions within Event Channels. Channels let you organize related subscriptions under a single label, for example, one channel for operations alerts and another for security events.

On sites without Workspaces, all channels are site-level. On sites with Workspaces, channels are scoped to the workspace where they are created.

Default Channel

One channel can be marked as the default. Subscriptions created without specifying a channel are automatically attached to the default channel. Marking a channel as the default replaces whichever channel was previously the default.

On sites with Workspaces, each workspace has its own default channel.

Enabling and Disabling Channels

A disabled channel does not route events. Subscriptions attached to a disabled channel will not deliver events to their targets until the channel is re-enabled.
