Number of Remote Mounts

Files.com does not limit the number of Remote Server Mounts you can configure. A mount is a path into remote storage, rather than a connection reserved for that folder. Opening more mounts does not by itself require one live connection per mount.

The remote service still limits the operations it can handle simultaneously. Several mounts pointing at one server share its connection and performance constraints, alongside Syncs, Automations, and other applications using it. A limit of five concurrent connections restricts simultaneous work, rather than the number of mount folders you may create.

Choose mount boundaries for the locations and access your users need. Size the workload and, for FTP or SFTP, the connection's concurrency setting for the remote service's capacity. Reducing unnecessary concurrent work is more useful than treating the number of mounts as the connection count.
