Deleting a Workspace
This page covers deleting a Workspace and the resources purged with it. See Workspaces for an overview of what Workspaces are.
Only Site Administrators can delete a Workspace. When a Site Administrator deletes a Workspace, Files.com schedules all resources inside that Workspace for permanent removal. Resources are purged after a 6-day period following Workspace deletion.
Restoration Window
Files.com Support can restore Workspaces (and their contents) up to 6 days after they are deleted. After the 6-day period is elapsed, the Workspace and its contents are no longer restorable.
To permanently remove specific resources before the 6-day window closes, delete them explicitly before deleting the Workspace.
Sitewide Retention
The site's sitewide retention period for deleted files also applies to files deleted as part of a Workspace deletion. This retention period runs in addition to the 6-day window. Files on a site with a 30-day sitewide retention remain restorable for 36 days from the time of Workspace deletion.
