Data Platforms
Analytics work depends on getting source files from the people and systems that produce them to the platform that will analyze them. Files.com can receive those files from users, partners, and automated workflows, then make them available for ingestion. This lets data teams separate file collection and delivery from the queries and transformations performed by their analytics platform.
Choose the connection around where the platform expects to read its input. Platforms that accept a custom S3 endpoint can read Files.com folders through the S3-Compatible Endpoint, using credentials and folder permissions configured in Files.com. A file-ingestion connector can instead collect from Files.com over SFTP and load the data into its destination. If the platform requires data in its own cloud storage, a Remote Server Mount can expose that storage for partner uploads, or a Sync can deliver a separate copy there.
Use this section when designing the file-delivery side of an analytics workflow. Confirm the required storage location and access permissions with the team operating the analytics platform, so arriving files are available to the ingestion process that needs them.
