Branding & Customization

Files.com lets you present a branded portal to users and visitors, choose the interface language, and tailor the web navigation for different roles. Site-wide presentation is shared by the site's Workspaces. Each Child Site has its own branding and configuration.

Brand Identity and Messages

Custom Branding controls the site name, colors, logos, login background, headers, footers, and branded email appearance. A site logo provides the default, while per-folder logos can give selected folders their own identity. Headers, footers, and other supported text fields use Markdown Formatting for messages and links.

An optional Custom Domain gives the site an address on a domain you own. Domain setup includes DNS, certificates, and dedicated IP addresses. Custom SMTP sends the site's outbound email through your mail service.

Language and Navigation

Foreign Language Support sets the default language and allows user preferences. Share Link and Inbox visitors receive a supported language based on their browser preference or their own selection.

Left Menu settings hide web navigation categories for selected roles. They affect access through the web interface, while folder permissions and API access remain governed by their own controls. Use Users & Groups to configure who can access or change content.

For identifying content during file previews, Watermarks apply text or an image to supported previews. They do not change the downloaded original.
