December 2024
In December 2024, we launched a new desktop application, added web interface features for easy reporting, and shipped several smaller updates.
Announcing Desktop v6
Files.com Desktop v6 is built for high-speed, large-scale file transfers. It provides a familiar interface for anyone who has used traditional FTP/SFTP clients and outperforms tools like FileZilla.
With parallel processing, Desktop v6 transfers data 2x to 5x faster. Whether you're uploading thousands of files or managing gigabytes of data, Desktop v6 keeps operations fast and accurate.
Desktop v6 is available to download now.

Table Export Feature
Most tables throughout the web interface let you create a CSV export of the entries in the table. The resulting CSV file can be used for data analysis or imported into other systems. Combined with a table's filters to limit which records are shown, the export gives you a no-code reporting solution.
If an export is taking a long time, such as exporting thousands of user accounts, you can run it in the background and your site will email you a link to the results. CSV exports are available now for all sites, and any user who can view a table can export the records they can see.

Minor Updates
We also shipped several smaller improvements across the platform.
On-Premises Agent Logging Improvements
The On-Premises Agent logs now include an entry when the agent is shut down. The Agent also records a HealthCheck in its log at least every 15 minutes. This helps you troubleshoot why an agent restarted unexpectedly. Upgrade your Agent installations to at least version 2.0.2726 for the updated logging.

Capture Inbound Email Body Contents
You can now configure your Inboxes to store the email body contents for inbound emails, in addition to storing the email attachments. This opens up more integration options with legacy systems that generate emails. Administrators can change the Inbound Email Settings for an inbox to enable the Save inbound email body content to a text file option.

More Columns Available In Table Listings
Tables within the web interface let you pick which columns are visible on the screen. Most tables throughout the site can now include every associated column. This cuts down the clicks needed to get to the information you want. No action is required to enable this for your site.

Better Developer Documentation for File Operations
It's now easier to find information about managing and transferring files in our Developer Documentation, including examples for each of our SDKs, the CLI, Terraform, and MuleSoft.

Improved Downloading of Big Files with .NET SDK
We've updated the timeout settings of our .NET SDK to better support very large downloads. Update your installation of the .NET SDK to version 1.4.114 or later to get this fix.

Automatic Subfolder Organization Supports More Granular Time Options
The Organize Files into Subfolders feature now offers more granular options for the Creation Date and Modified Date methods. You can split the contents of high-traffic folders, such as folders receiving uploads every minute, into useful subfolders for processing. Site administrators can use the new granularity by changing the patterns for new subfolders.
