Registration & Invitations
An external file exchange often needs a record of more than the files transferred. You may need to know whom you invited, what information a visitor supplied, or whether someone accepted the terms before receiving a document. Registration and invitations make those parts of the exchange explicit.
These controls are useful for teams collecting applications, distributing confidential materials, or running a recurring exchange with known contacts. They work with Share Links and Inboxes, so you can collect the information the business process requires without creating a Files.com user account for every participant.
Invitations deliver personalized URLs to intended recipients. Share Groups let you reuse a recipient list when the same people participate repeatedly. Registration records information about a visitor session, while Forms let you define the fields your team needs for intake and follow-up. An invitation list and a registration record answer different questions: who was meant to participate and who actually supplied information.
A Clickwrap adds an explicit acknowledgement of terms before access or upload. This creates a record of acceptance for agreements such as an NDA, privacy notice, or acceptable use policy. Clickwraps also support new-user signup and login requirements.
Choose the controls that fit the exchange. A public application process might need an Inbox, structured registration fields, and accepted terms. A recurring document review might need invitations to a reusable group. When people must download a form and return it, a Share Link can be paired with an Inbox. The goal is to make participation clear and retain the evidence your team needs afterward.
