Services are the server-side endpoints Files.com provides for moving data in and out of your site. Use this section when you're integrating with an application, device, or partner that requires a specific protocol.

If you control both ends of the workflow, prefer Files.com native options. They are typically faster and simpler to operate. Start with Preferred Apps for File Transfer.

Available Services

SFTP is the most common secure protocol for B2B file exchange. Use it when counterparties mandate SFTP, or when you need an SSH-based integration.

FTP and FTPS are legacy protocols. Use them only when a system cannot support newer options. Expect more firewall friction than modern approaches.

S3-Compatible Endpoint lets S3 clients and SDKs interact with Files.com over HTTPS. Use it when your CI/CD pipelines, backup software, and cloud-native integrations already "speak S3."

AS2 supports secure B2B transmissions with MDN receipts. Use it when trading partners require AS2 for integrity and non-repudiation.

WebDAV provides file access over HTTPS using the WebDAV standard. Use it sparingly, and only when you specifically need WebDAV behavior. Otherwise, prefer the Desktop App for speed and usability.
