User Provisioning & Identity Provider Integration
Files.com gives customers full control over how users are provisioned, authenticated, and managed. This article outlines login options, supported identity providers, and available methods for integrating Single Sign-On (SSO) into your workflow. These features are reviewed annually as part of our SOC 2 Type II audit.
User Login Methods
Users can access Files.com through multiple interfaces:
- Web application
- Desktop apps for Windows and Mac
- Mobile apps for iOS and Android
- Command Line Interface (CLI)
Each interface supports local credentials and external authentication flows, depending on your site’s configuration.
SSO & Identity Provider Support
Files.com supports a wide range of identity providers using SAML, LDAP, and OAuth protocols. Customers can enable Single Sign-On (SSO) with providers such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, OneLogin, Auth0, and others.
When SSO is enabled, users can be automatically provisioned upon their first login. Alternatively, customers can provision users through other supported methods.
User Provisioning Options
Customers can provision users in several ways:
- Manually via the Files.com web interface
- Bulk import via the interface
- Programmatically via the Files.com API
- Through the Files.com CLI
- Automatically via SAML or LDAP provisioning
