This is a reminder about the cipher suite changes that we announced last month, which will take effect soon on BrickFTP.

This is a brief message to let you know that BrickFTP has updated the list of IP addresses that we make use of. If you or your users restrict outbound access via a firewall, please whitelist all of these IP addresses for ports 80, 443, 21, 22, and 990, as well as FTP data ports 40000-50000. Any required firewall changes should be made by April 1st.

Update at 5:05 PM ET: As promised, an "all clear" update regarding this Amazon S3 downtime event. Amazon has been hard at work at a fix for their S3 problems and although they have not yet announced a fix, our internal monitoring shows our customers having success with all operation types.

Expanding the options for Single Sign On with BrickFTP continues to be one of our most requested features. Today we're excited to announce the availability of "Log In With Google" support for the web interface of BrickFTP. If your users have a Gmail or Google Apps account, they can now log in to BrickFTP with a single click of the "Log in with Google" button from your site's login page.

Even though our team and biggest customers are based in the United States, our userbase is becoming increasingly global. Last month we had users from 131 countries use the service. And even our US-based users often exchange files with global vendors or customers.

We have reduced storage pricing again on our top two plans, dropping the price to $0.10/GB on our top-tier Corporate plan and offering $0.20/GB on our middle-tier Business plan.

We're proud to announce that BrickFTP now has support for providing your own SSL certificates for your BrickFTP site. These allow you to reference your domain directly in the URL with https:// (such as https://files.yoursite.com/).

Zapier is an "integration tool" that allows you to link hundreds of apps without having to write any code.

As many of you are aware, Google recently discovered a major security flaw in the older SSLv3 protocols used to secure HTTPS, FTPS, and FTPES communication. This was called the POODLE bug and you can read about it here.
