Troubleshooting the Underscore Folder
Remote Servers
The _/RemoteServers folder connects to the root folder of the remote server using the corresponding integration type. For example, SFTP-based remote servers use the SFTP protocol, and Azure Blob-based remote servers use the Azure APIs.
If the authentication for the remote server expires or is revoked, the corresponding underscore folder cannot connect. Re-authenticate the Remote Server to restore access.
The underscore folder uses the access permissions of the credentials configured for the Remote Server. If those credentials do not have access to the root folder of the remote server, you will see a permissions error stating "There was an issue getting the contents of this folder." The credentials used for the Remote Server must have access to the root folder.
Permission issues are more common with FTP and SFTP-based remote servers, because those servers can be configured to allow access to specific subfolders while blocking access to the root folder. Most FTP and SFTP clients work around this by letting the user "leapfrog" the root folder and connect directly to a lower-level subfolder. The underscore folder always connects at the root, so when that path is blocked, use a Remote Mount to connect to a subfolder the credentials can reach.
