ShareFile

Files.com does not offer a direct integration with ShareFile. ShareFile supports Implicit FTP(S)External LinkThis link leads to an external website and will open in a new tab, so you can connect Files.com to ShareFile using FTP.

Once ShareFile is connected as a Remote Server, you can use Files.com features against it.

Our integrations are driven by customer demand. A direct ShareFile integration would provide better throughput and scalability. If you'd like to see one, contact us and let us know.

Troubleshooting

ShareFile is not a Managed File Transfer platform. Its FTP implementation is based on Implicit FTPS, a deprecated mode of FTP over SSL.

ShareFile limits each customer tenant to 8 FTP connections. The limit applies to all connections made to ShareFile FTPS for that tenant account.

When configuring the FTP Remote Server connection to ShareFile, set the Max connections setting to "1" so that the Files.com platform does not flood ShareFile with too many parallel connections. You can try incrementing this setting if "1" works without issues, but we've found that even "2" can cause problems.

ShareFile does not support SFTP (SSH based). Use FTPS (Implicit FTP over SSL/TLS) to connect.

Use a Sync rather than an Automation to move or copy data between ShareFile and Files.com. Sync provides more resilient functionality for this connection.
