Unsubscribing from Emails

Each email from the Files.com platform includes a link at the bottom to Update your mail preferences or unsubscribe from these emails. The unsubscribe link cannot be removed from emails sent from your Files.com site. It is required for compliance with national and international privacy laws governing email distribution, and it also keeps emails sent by Files.com from being treated as spam by other mail servers.

Clicking this link takes you to a page that lists all of your currently active notifications.

You can disable individual emails or use the Permanent Removal Option to opt out of all future emails for all notifications.

For Site Administrators, the preferences page also includes a grouped Admin email alerts section with the granular admin alert email preferences: Site warnings, SSO/SCIM/LDAP configuration/sync failures, User security events, Pending work failures, SIEM failures, Sync failures, Automation failures, and Expectation failures and misses. Each preference can be toggled individually. The legacy Site alert emails setting (receive_admin_alerts) is also shown for backward compatibility, but it is deprecated and now controls only the Site warnings preference.

These admin alert fields appear only for Site Administrators. Regular users and Workspace Administrators do not see them. Non-User recipients (Share Link recipients, Inbox recipients) also do not see them.

Choosing Don't email me anything, ever again is permanent and cannot be undone, even by our support staff. This action also turns off all admin alert email preferences, including receive_admin_alerts and all notify_on_all_* preferences.
