In January 2021, we closed a $46.5 million investment from Riverwood Capital, a technology-focused growth equity firm with offices in Silicon Valley, New York, and Brazil. We put that capital to work building and acquiring across the category — not racing to an exit.

We built one engine for the job, then extended it across the whole market: we acquired ExaVault, then SmartFile, then ExpanDrive, and we built Mover on the same engine.

Today Files.com is profitable, growing, and led from Austin, Texas.
