NFS
NFS is the Network File System, another technology used for making remote storage show up as a local drive. NFS is popular in Linux and UNIX based environments, though it also works on macOS.
Files.com does not support NFS, however, it offers comparable functionality for Windows and Mac via the Files.com Desktop App for Windows/Mac. Our Desktop app is integrated with the Windows Explorer and MacOS Finder and provides highly tuned upload and download performance.
On Linux, we recommend the Files.com Command Line App (CLI).
The app doesn't mount as a drive, but is useful in a variety of scripting scenarios. If that isn't sufficient for you, we do have some customers who have been able to make Files.com work using sshfs. Because Sshfs uses SFTP under the hood, it requires a subscription to our Enterprise Connectivity Addon.
If you are a Microsoft Azure customer then you can use our Azure Files integration to connect Files.com to your Azure Files file shares and then use the NFS functionality of Azure Files to mount the file share using NFS.
