Files.com stores and serves content on behalf of its customers. That content reaches the public through Public Hosting URLs on hosted-by-files.com, through share links on files.com, and through customers' own domains pointed at Files.com. If you have encountered phishing, malware, spam, fraud, or other harmful material at one of those addresses, report it here.

Files.com reviews every report. Depending on what we find, we may disable the URL, contact the administrator of the site that published the content, or close the site. You do not need a Files.com account to file a report, and you do not need to be the target of the abuse to report it.

This form is for abuse involving customer content. Two other kinds of report have their own paths:

  • Copyright infringement. A claim that content infringes a copyright is handled under the DMCA and must be filed through the DMCA form, which collects the statements the law requires.
  • Security vulnerabilities in Files.com itself. A flaw in the Files.com platform, applications, or infrastructure, as opposed to misuse of the service by a customer, belongs in the Security Bug Bounty Program.

If you are a Files.com customer and someone is misusing your own site or credentials, contact Support directly instead of using this form.

Send An Abuse Report

Tell us what you found and where. Include every URL involved, one per line, and as much detail as you can about what the content does. We may contact you if we need more to act on it.

Describe what the content does, how you came across it, and anything that helps us verify it, such as the sender of an email that linked to it.
