Wait

A Wait node delays the items it receives for the time you set, then passes them on unchanged. Use it for a fixed pause between nodes. The delay does not check whether work in an external system has finished or succeeded.

Wait accepts file items and data items, because it does not read them.

Settings

The node takes the delay in seconds, from 1 to 300.

What the Next Node Receives

The next node receives the same items after the delay, and run detail records the node's start and completion times.

Errors

Error Handling rules on the node determine what happens to an item that fails at this node.

Wait vs. a Scheduled Trigger

Wait delays the next node by up to five minutes inside one run. A Scheduled trigger starts a run at a set time or interval. Use Wait for a short pause between two nodes. Use a Scheduled trigger, in a second Automation that reads the folder the first one wrote to, when the next node has to run hours later or at a fixed time of day.
