Connect Storage And File Systems
A Remote Server defines a connection from Files.com to external storage or another server. Remote Servers support cloud storage, content collaboration platforms, Files.com sites, and protocol-based file transfer systems.
After creating the connection, choose how Files.com should use it. A Remote Server Mount presents the external storage inside the Files.com file tree for real-time access. A Sync copies files between two locations on a recurring basis. Automations can react to file activity or a schedule and then route or process selected files. Use Syncs & Automations when more than one approach could fit.
Use the On-Premise Agent when the storage or service is inside a private network and cannot accept a direct connection from Files.com. The Agent can expose local storage and route supported Remote Server connections through your network.
Connect Applications And Tools
iPaaS connectors let platforms such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Boomi, Zapier, and Make perform Files.com actions as part of larger business workflows. Big Data covers file-based ingestion into analytics platforms including Snowflake, ClickHouse, and Databricks. For custom application development, use the modern Files.com SDKs and APIs.
Connect Identity, Communications, And Monitoring
SSO connects Files.com to an identity provider for centralized authentication and, where supported, automated user and group provisioning. Custom SMTP routes Files.com-generated email through a supported transactional email service under your organization's sender identity.
SIEM sends audit and activity data to security and observability platforms. Use a direct SIEM integration for near real-time delivery or Log File Streaming when another system consumes retained log files in batches.
Manage Files.com As Code
Infrastructure as Code manages Files.com configuration as declared resources through Terraform or OpenTofu. Use it for repeatable, reviewable configuration changes. IaC manages the configuration lifecycle; it does not replace Syncs or Automations for moving files at runtime.
Maintain A Legacy ExaVault Integration
ExaVault Legacy APIs are maintained for applications that were already using those APIs when an ExaVault account migrated to Files.com. Use the modern Files.com SDKs and API for new development.
