Files.com offers AI capabilities to customers and applies strict controls to how customer data interacts with AI and machine learning systems. This page covers the AI features available on the platform, the privacy guarantees that govern customer data, and how Files.com staff use AI internally.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server lets customers connect AI applications to their Files.com site, turning an AI client into a digital assistant for the site.

Privacy with AI

Files.com does not use any Site Content for training, fine-tuning, evaluating, or otherwise developing artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) systems or models. This includes large language models (LLMs), generative AI applications, and predictive analytics.

Internal Use of AI

Files.com staff use AI to work faster, governed by internal policies on responsible and acceptable use. Those policies define permitted use cases, restrict what can be shared with AI platforms, and set guidelines for reviewing AI-generated output. Customer files are never shared with AI systems.

Future Direction for AI

Files.com is developing additional AI capabilities for the platform and will announce each one at launch. Every new AI capability will ship with the ability to disable or restrict it.
