Automation Is Owned by Non-admin User Error
The error "Automation is owned by non-admin user..." indicates that the automation is owned by a Folder Admin user who no longer has the required permissions to all source or destination paths referenced by the automation.
Automation ownership is determined by the most recent editor of the automation, not the original creator. When ownership changes, runtime permissions change with it, which can cause automations to fail silently without any configuration changes.
How to Resolve
A Site Administrator can resolve this by taking one of the following actions.
They can restore the missing permissions for the current automation owner.
They can also open the automation, make a minor change, and save it. When a Site Administrator saves an automation, ownership transfers to site-level.
Alternatively, they can clone the automation and delete the failing one.
When deleting a Folder Admin user who owns automations, the system prompts to reassign those automations to another user, including a Site Administrator.
