Creating Child Sites
New child sites can be created through the web interface by a site administrator. Each child site will have access to the same level of features provided by your primary site's plan.
Required Parameters
When you create a new Child Site, you must supply a Name for the child site. This name will be automatically translated into a unique subdomain for the new Child Site.
You must also supply an Email address for the site administrator of the new Child Site. Because a Child Site is a full-featured site, there must always be a site administrator account associated directly with the Child Site, so creating a new Child Site also creates that site administrator user in the new site.
You may choose to provide a Username for the new site administrator user account. If you do not provide a username, one will be automatically assigned for you. Similarly, you may specify the password for the new site administrator; if none is supplied, a link to set up the new password will be sent to the new user's email address.
Maximum Number of Child Sites
If your plan allows child sites, you will only be able to create a limited number of child sites. When you've reached the maximum, you can't create a new child site. If you need additional child sites, feel free to get in touch with our support team.
If your plan does not include complimentary child sites, you can contact our sales team to upgrade to a plan that does.
Child Sites Cannot Have Child Sites
You cannot create multiple "levels" of Child Sites, with a Child Site of a Child Site. All Child Sites belong to exactly one site.
