Automatically Creating Folders Upon Upload
Some FTP clients assume that servers automatically create parent folders for uploads when a given folder doesn't exist. These clients usually don't report an error when that parent folder is missing. The result is a transfer that looks successful but leaves your files unsent.
The FTP service provided by Files.com complies with the standards for FTP transfers. By default, your site does not automatically create a folder when an FTP client uploads to a folder that doesn't exist.
To prevent interruptions to your transfers, Site Administrators can configure your FTP service settings to automatically create missing parent folders when files are uploaded by FTP. This behavior also applies to uploads via SFTP.
