Email and Notification Logs

A recipient reporting that a message never arrived does not tell you where delivery failed. Files.com records incoming email, outgoing email, and webhook delivery results so administrators can determine whether a message reached the platform, was sent, or received a response from the destination.

Use these logs to separate a Files.com configuration problem from a receiving-system problem. For an expected email notification, first establish whether the platform generated and sent the message. For a webhook, examine the destination's HTTP response. For an email sent to an Inbox, check whether it was accepted and whether its attachments met the Inbox's rules.

The recipient, destination, and approximate time help connect a reported problem to the relevant record. A delivery response is evidence of that exchange; confirming any further action in the receiving system may require that system's own records.
