Usage Logs

Usage Logs track activity and consumption across your Files.com site's customer-facing features: Share Links, Inboxes, and overall site resource usage. These logs sit outside the protocol and automation categories. They answer questions about how your site's sharing and receiving features are being used, and how much storage, bandwidth, and API capacity your site is consuming.

Use Usage Logs when auditing share link access and registrations, reviewing file uploads to Inboxes, or checking your site's resource consumption over time.

Logs in This Section

Share Links Usage records registration and file download activity for your Share Links. Use it to audit who accessed a link, which files were downloaded, and when activity occurred. Preview actions are not included.

Inboxes Usage covers two types of logs: upload activity for files received through an Inbox, and user registrations for Inboxes that require registration before uploading.

Site Usage shows site-wide consumption of storage, bandwidth, APIs, and user accounts over time. Use it to track growth, plan capacity, and identify unexpected spikes in usage.
