Number of Remote Mounts

Files.com does not limit the number of Remote Server Mounts you can configure. Some remote systems, however, limit the number of connections made to them. Contact the system administrator of the remote servers to determine those limits.

A one-to-one relationship between Mounts and remote servers lets you have as many Mounts as you need. For example, with 50 remote servers, you can configure 50 Mounts, each pointing at one remote server.

When several Mounts point at the same remote server, their operations share that server's connection and performance limits. A limit of 5 concurrent connections limits simultaneous operations, not the number of Mounts you can configure. Consider the combined load from all Mounts, Syncs, and Automations using that server.

The optimal number of Mounts depends on the concurrent connection limits of the remote server, the limits of the connection protocol, and the performance of the remote server. Calibrate the number of Mounts until you find the quantity that performs best against that server.
