Clickwraps for Inboxes and Share Links
A Clickwrap is a configurable agreement that requires a visitor to actively accept stated terms before accessing content.
Clickwraps can be attached to Inboxes and Share Links to require external visitors to accept terms before accessing content or submitting files. The visitor must actively check the agreement box to proceed; those who decline cannot access the Inbox or Share Link.
Using Clickwraps with Share Links and Inboxes
Clickwraps are commonly used with Inboxes and Share Links when visitors need to acknowledge terms before accessing or submitting content.
Acknowledging Privacy Policies for an Inbox
You want people uploading to a particular Inbox to acknowledge your organization's privacy rules for the submitted data. Create a Clickwrap with the relevant policy text, make it available for Inbox use, and configure the Inbox to display that Clickwrap. New visitors to that Inbox must agree before proceeding to the upload step. Their acceptance, along with the Clickwrap text shown to them, is stored with their registration information.
Requiring All Share Link Visitors to Agree to Terms
You use Share Links to deliver digital goods and want every visitor to accept a standard terms-of-use agreement. Create a Clickwrap with the applicable terms and set it to apply automatically to all Share Links. All existing Share Links are updated immediately, and every visitor is prompted to accept before accessing any content.
How Clickwraps Work for Inboxes and Share Links
When a visitor accesses a Share Link or Inbox and accepts a Clickwrap, the text of the clickwrap at the time of acceptance is stored with their registration information. This Clickwrap body text is preserved even if the Share Link or Inbox is later associated with a different Clickwrap, or if the Clickwrap body text is updated after the visitor's acceptance was captured.
Assigning a Clickwrap to an Inbox or Share Link
Only Clickwraps which have been made available for Inboxes or Share Links can be assigned. Clickwrap availability settings are managed by Site Administrators.
To require visitors to accept a Clickwrap when accessing a specific Inbox or Share Link, update settings for that Inbox or Share Link and select the Clickwrap.
A Clickwrap can also be configured to apply automatically to all Inboxes or all Share Links on your site. Once set, all existing targets (Inboxes or Share Links) are updated immediately. Only one Clickwrap can be set to automatically apply to all Inboxes, and only one can be set to automatically apply to all Share Links.
