Other Client Apps

Third-party clients connect to Files.com through its APIs or supported file-transfer protocols. They fit workflows that already depend on a particular backup tool, cloud-storage utility, or protocol client.

Rclone has a native Files.com backend for file operations across cloud storage systems. Rsync cannot connect directly to Files.com; the CLI App and Rclone provide alternatives for copying changed files. Arq Backup can use Files.com as an SFTP backup destination.

For a new transfer workflow, Preferred Apps for File Transfer explains the Files.com apps and SDKs. For an existing protocol client, use the SFTP, FTP/FTPS, or WebDAV connection settings and review File Transfer Speed if performance is a concern.
