January 2026
In January 2026, we shipped an official connector for Microsoft Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps. We also added the Remote Server Credential Manager. The Mobile App can now create Share Links. Minor updates include metadata search, Share Link security, SIEM exports, Agent upgrades, and Sync controls.
Integrate with Microsoft Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps
Files.com Connector for Power Automate and Azure Logic is an official, trusted connector for Microsoft’s automation platforms to connect hundreds of services.
The connector lets you manage files, folders, Share Links, Users and Groups in your Files.com site, configured in the same place you manage the rest of your Microsoft integrations.

Remote Server Credential Manager
The Remote Server Credential Manager stores authentication credentials used by Remote Servers, allowing credentials to be reused across multiple Remote Server configurations without duplicating secrets. This simplifies Remote Server setup and supports safe credential rotation.

Create Share Links in the Mobile App
Use the Files.com Mobile App for iOS and Android to create Share Links from your mobile device. Workers in the field can generate URLs for sharing with just a few taps. The latest Mobile App includes speed and usability improvements for uploading multiple items at once.

Other Minor Updates
In January 2026, we also released several minor yet impactful enhancements designed to improve user experience. These changes add up to a more seamless interaction with our services.
Search Custom Metadata
You can now search Custom Metadata values attached to files and folders in the web app.
This helps when you need to locate content by business identifiers (customer IDs, claim numbers, order numbers, invoice IDs), or when folder structures and file naming conventions aren’t sufficient on their own. You can also filter by a specific metadata key by adding it as a column.

Remote Server Staging Folders for FTP and SFTP
SFTP and FTP Remote Servers support a new option to specify a staging folder path on the remote system to emulate atomic uploads. With this feature, Files.com uploads files to the specified staging folder first, then moves the file from the staging folder to the final destination upload folder only after the upload is complete.
This prevents partially uploaded files from prematurely triggering downstream processes before the file is complete.

Automatically Organize Emailed Files into Subfolders
Accepting files via email is easier because new Inboxes will automatically organize received files into subfolders. Inboxes that receive email uploads support a destination path template to name the automatic subfolders. Supported placeholders include the sender's display name {{name}}, the sender's email address {{email}}, the sender's email domain {{email_domain}}, and time-based placeholders.
Existing Inboxes' behavior is unchanged; administrators can update the settings to enable the automatic subfolders.

Reassign Ownership for Share Links
Administrators can change the ownership of a Share Link, assigning a different user to take over managing that link. This allows standard users to take control over the entire Share Link lifecycle without being granted wider administration rights.

Email One-Time Password for Share Links
Email-based one-time passwords for Share Links protect shared content without distributing a static password. Files.com emails a single-use password to the invited recipient and verifies their access. This option can’t be combined with standard Share Link password protection, and it requires email invitations.

Control When Interval-Based Automations Run
Automations which start at regular intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly) now support selecting the times of day when the Automation can start. The new option allows both individual times and time ranges (the automation runs once per hour during the selected window). This lets you schedule recurring automations during off peak hours and control execution windows for connected systems and counterparties.

Include History Logs in SIEM Exports and Log File Streams
History Logs are now available for Log File Streams and SIEM integrations, giving your monitoring systems access to Files.com’s audit trail for site activity. History Logs capture who did what, when, and where, across files and folders (create/read/update/delete/move/copy), plus user and group events (including SCIM provisioning), folder permission changes, login events, and API key lifecycle changes.
The History Log type is available for of the SIEM integration types, and can be enabled on any existing SIEM connection.

Remote Upgrade for On-Premise Agent
The On-Premise Agent now supports initiating an upgrade of your remote server's Agent executable without logging into the server where it runs. When you trigger the update, The Agent downloads and installs the new version, then restarts itself as needed, with no config file changes. This makes it easier to keep your Agent up-to-date when the Agent host is hard to access or tightly controlled, while you keep control over exactly when the update happens.

Manual Start and Dry Run Sync Options
The web interface now include options for Run Now and Dry Run for Syncs. Run now lets you manually start a Sync on demand, so you can immediately start urgent transfers. Dry run simulates a Sync and shows the expected changes in the Sync Runs Log without transferring or modifying any files, helpful for validating configuration and catching unexpected behavior before you run a live Sync.
